Local Petrale Sole is caught near the Farallon Islands in San Francisco, in Fort Bragg, and North along the Pacific Coast into Southern Oregon. Petrale Sole is a thin, flaky, delicate, very mild tasting fish. Best sauteed, just add lemon or breadcrumbs.
